Lost Lake
House and drum & bass for over 21s, in a wooded North Devon valley — bank holiday weekend, 29–30 August 2026. Three stages on one small site, with the river running through it: afternoon house, late bass, and sunrise sets inside the mill.
The venue
Plaistow Mills is a 16th century mill in a wooded valley near Barnstaple. The river runs through the middle of the site, and the stages, camping and wellness are a few minutes' walk apart — small enough that you never feel stuck on the wrong side of a field.
How it started
Lost Lake started small, five years ago — word-of-mouth parties in the Devon countryside, built around community rather than big names.
We still book that way: breakthrough and established DJs next to the best homegrown talent. Intimate, never half-hearted — a weekend for people who actually came for the music.
The music
Rising names, South West selectors, and a few you already know.

Eat well between sets

Globally inspired, locally sourced
Good food is half the trip. Street food with a bit of Tulum about it — Mexican tacos, Caribbean jerk, proper Italian pizza, and plenty of plant-based — for between sets, after yoga, or sunset with friends.

Vagalume
Vagalume is the bar under the trees — tropical drinks from Dark Bar and Twisted Disco, with ice-cold beers and proper non-alcoholic options alongside.
Think spiced margaritas, passionfruit palomas, coladas and tiki classics: the kind of drinks you want between sets, not a sticky-carpet lager queue.

FAQs
No. For this reason, we do not use strobe lighting anywhere at the festival. The safety and wellbeing of our guests is a priority, and we aim to minimise lighting effects that may present a risk.
We do use laser lighting effects in some areas, operated in controlled settings by trained professionals and not intended to create rapid flashing strobe effects.
If you have concerns about lighting or sensory triggers, please contact the festival team in advance so we can support you where reasonably possible.
